Inter College Competition 2008/2009
Winners - Keynes
Congratulations to Keynes College who have been crowned Inter College Competition Winners 2008/2009. Keynes mix of experience oarsmen and talented novices ensured domination in almost every race this year.
The trophy was awarded Keynes at the club's Summer Ball, held this year in Abode restaurant. After picking up the Trophy, Keynes College Coordinator Nick Paterson said he was, "Very proud of the efforts of his college." The Summer Ball is always one of the highlights of the Kent Rowing calendar, and it wasn't just Keynes celebrating their victory, but Eliot had something to cheer about two, with both the male and female Novice of the Year awards going to Eliot rowers, with Ash Roberts deservedly winning the men's award, and Sarah equally deserving the women's award. Also picking up awards on the night were Carmelia Parmisivan and Sam Cumming. Carmelia's die hard attitude towards coxing ensured she claimed the Cox of the Year award, whilst Sam's often un-noticed but excellent work as Secretary earned him the Committee's Award.
Congratulations to Keynes and all the award winners.
