Role on the committee: As secretary my role is to ensure the club runs smoothly on an administrative level and to keep all our members up to date on the latest activities within club. I will be working closely with the other committee members to ensure we run our club to the best of our ability whilst being the first point of contact with those outside of the club. I will also be responsible for organising this year’s training camps and entering our crews into races throughout the year.
Best moment with club: I have so many brilliant memories from my time in the club so far from competing at Women’s Henley, discovering my crew’s true competitive spirit at Burway and having one too many collisions with Andy’s launch. Undoubtedly though one of the highlights would have to be racing at BUCS in 2011. I had never raced through wind and waves quite like it so to come 8th out of 50 and to laugh so much doing it was a moment not to be forgotten!
The committee look after the on going running of the club. They are elected at the AGM, and meet at least once a week to discuss all things Kent Rowing. Every week the minutes of the committee meeting are sent out to the club over rowsoc so the club can see what was discussed.

Role on the committee: As Chairman, it is my responsibility to oversee the smooth running of the club. I'm to direct the committee, as well as all members, offering guidance and ensuring the club continues to progress as it has since it was established.
Best moment with club: Trying to pick a single moment is tricky at best. From all the mad nights at 87, to some absolutely incredible races at some even better venues, trying to select one is pretty impossible. One thing that does stand out though is when I first heard the 'bubbles' in the boat. It's a sound every rower strives to create and upon doing so, knows that they can properly row... It only took two years!

Role on the committee: My role is to organise crews along with providing a varied training plan to create a competitive and dynamic racing squad and improve its performance profile.
Best moment with club: With the club being so large and the members so friendly, lasting memories are made almost every week! But a personal highlight for me was when I was awarded Coach of the year. It made all the early starts and battles with the weather all the more rewarding and worthwhile.
Being part of the University of Kent Rowing club has been a truly great adventure and I invite everyone to join a fantastic club whether it be for the sheer thrill of competition or for social enjoyment, UKC rowing club will no doubt reward you with a memorable experience.

Role on the committee: As Treasurer it is my overall job to make sure that the club keeps to its set budget. My other everyday tasks are to collect petrol money at weekends, complete kit orders and buy replacement equipment.
Best moment with club: I have had many memorable moments in the club from being down at the boathouse, to socials, but my favourite has to be the novice head and bow ball when my novice crew won. It was the best night of the year and I couldn’t get the smile off my face for ages! It is definitely a night that I will never forget!

Role on the committee: I organise a weekly plan to ensure that people have maximum amount of time on the water and make the day run more efficiently.
Best moment with club: Qualifying at BUCs to race a regatta was fantastic! But by far the greatest thing about Kent Rowing has been the strong friendships I have made, especially within my crew. They have made my first year at university so much fun despite the cold weather and the early mornings!

Role on the committee: As Press and Funding Officer, I will be helping to ensure that the club has enough funds to see us through the academic year and into the future, by sourcing sponsors, organising fundraising events and promoting the club across campus and beyond. I will aim to ensure that Kent Rowing's achievements and events are publicised across a range of media, including the maintainance of our online presence, so everyone knows how awesome we are!
Best moment with club: My best moments with the club vary so much, from delving into depths of willpower I didn't know I had after a 3 hour outing at Peterborough in the wind, rain, hail and cold, having to be thawed out of my coxing seat and still managing (I think!) to keep my crew motivated! Also, some of the awesome socials we've had, the friends I've met, and the occasional lazy BBQ at the boathouse!

Role on the committee: As social secretary, I will be helping to contribute to your all round rowing club experience. I want to ensure everyone loves and enjoys Kent Rowing as much as I do, knows all other club members, and is always having fun. I shall be organizing our social activities, from Rowing Balls to BBQs, and trying to make them as creative and innovative as possible. This year I want to boost collegiate Spirit as much as possible, and make sure every member in the club is involved in as many activities as possible.
Best moment with club: My favorite moment in the club so far...I can't even think...I JUST LOVE ROWING SO MUCH!!! Some of my most memorable moments were my crew coming off the water at Peterborough with the rowing club being amazed at how far, we as development girls, had come, and turning up to the onesie party at The Venue in a pink pig onesie instead of a lycra rowing onesie as the rest of the rowers were!!!

Role on the committee: My role as Coxing Captain is to allocate coxes to crews and to make sure we have a steady number of competent and trained coxes at the club, for this year and future years to come.
Best moment with club: There have been so many wonderful moments at the club. Qualifying and racing in the heats at BUCS was one of my favourite moments, we were all so proud of how far our crew had grown and developed over the past year. It made all the early morning outings worthwhile!
